Nuclear Public Webinar Series 3: Fuel, Safety, and the Geopolitics of Nuclear Power
In the third and final webinar of the nuclear energy series, Anna Erickson, Professor of Nuclear Engineering at Georgia Tech, will join Rachel Whitlark, Associate Professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, to explore the safety, security, and geopolitical challenges that accompany the expanding role of nuclear power worldwide.
Hosted virtually and open to the public by the Georgia Tech Energy Policy and Innovation Center, Fuel, Safety, and the Geopolitics of Nuclear Power will offer an accessible overview of the systems and policies needed to safeguard the global nuclear energy supply chain, from fuel production and distribution to containment and storage. As global nuclear capacity is projected to grow substantially in the coming decades, the discussion will examine how strong safety protocols, secure fuel supplies, and international cooperation can support a safe and reliable nuclear energy future.
